Introduction
What isa vacation and the advantages of having vacation?
Vacation is the desire by every person and people get advantage on it will
seize the chance as possible. People always think that vacation need to be at
the different countries such as Europe, Australia, Africa and others which is
far from Malaysia. However, having vacation in Malaysia will give more
advantages and benefitsthat some Malaysiando not know about it. The advantages
of having a vacation in Malaysia are; low traveling cost, many natural beauties
to explore, and various cultural diversities.

One of the
advantages of having a vacation in Malaysia is low traveling cost.
1. Cheap
destinations for Malaysian and also for tourists from other countries.
i.
Tourists only need to spend about RM300
per day to have a good vacation with reasonable quality hotel room. (Morris,
2012)
ii.
RM300 a day is not enough for tourists
to spend in Kuala Lumpur and any other major cities in Malaysia, but it is
suitable and more than enough to spend for other state in Malaysia such as Terengganu.
2. Shopping
heaven for tourists.
i.
Malaysia product and branded
goods are always cheaper in Malaysia itself compared to other countries in the
region.
ii.
Tourism Malaysia has organized
the “Year End Sale (YES)” every year to attract tourist to spend more in
Malaysia.

Another advantage of having a vacation
in Malaysia is there are many natural beauties toexplore.
1. Tourists can select their holiday location or places as there are many selection of beaches and islands along the shore of Peninsular Malaysia.

Pangkor Island and Redang Island have
beautiful beaches for tourist to do water activities such as snorkelling and scuba
diving(Rusli, 2011)

Apart from being a duty free island,
Langkawi also have ‘Underwater World Langkawi’ which is the Malaysia’s largest
aquarium and one of the largest marine
and fresh water aquaria in South East Asia (Mahathir, 2005)

The mountains in Malaysia allow tourists to enjoy the spectacular view
and scene of the environment.
i.
Cameron
Highlands, Genting Highlands, Frasers Hill, and Bukit Tinggi are the examples that have been developed for
tourism.
ii.
The greenness of the flora combined with
the mountainous landscapes that surround the highlands attract many
environmentalist to come back to Frasers Hill.

Finally, the
advantages of having a vacation in Malaysia is various cultural diversities.

Malaysia is a nation of diversity in
unity where Malays, Chinese, Indians and the indigenous people of Sabah and Sarawak
live in cultural harmony (Zara, 2009)

Multiculturalism has not only made
Malaysia as a food paradise, it has also made Malaysia home to hundreds of
colourful festivals.

From its people to its architecture
reflects a colourful heritage and culture that makes Malaysia is a nice place
for a vacation.

Openness to diversity make Malaysia
society to become more special and to be remembered

Different
ethnicity will have different types of meeting and greeting.
ii.
Various
cultural diversities and ethnics can be seen in its language, music, dance,
people, and handicrafts as well.
Conclusion
In a nutshell, various cultural
diversities, low traveling costs and many natural beauties to explore are the
advantages of having a vacation in Malaysia. Malaysian should give priority to
their own country before they think of going for a vacation in other countries.
Therefore, the economy of the country will indirectly increase and this will
help the tourism sector.
